Simplified Optical Ethernet Solution 3.0

Pioneer of Optical Ethernet Networking Practices

Simplified Optical Ethernet Solution 3.0 (SOE 3.0) is designed for application scenarios in enterprise-level campuses. Applicable scenarios include education, healthcare, office, and intelligent manufacturing. SOE 3.0 is deployed using fiber-to-the-room (FTTR). The all-optical network is fully integrated, stable and reliable, highly flexible, and easy to maintain.

Challenges Benefits Products Story of success Resources Common Problems
Replacing Copper Cables with Optical Cables Bring Challenges
All-Optical Network Solution Designed for Enterprise Market Helps Address These Challenges
Difficult Service Expansion

New service expansion processes require frequent port modifications, leading to constant rewiring and excessive time and labor costs.

Troublesome O&M

Permissions and responsibilities are unclear on numerous and complicated ELV rooms. Integrating a passive optical network (PON) requires learning new protocols and managing two separate networks.

Insufficient Bandwidth

With the increasing demand for high-bandwidth applications such as Wi-Fi 6, 5G, smart healthcare, smart campus, and smart factory, cable links have become the bottleneck for bandwidth upgrades.

High Cost of Retrofitting

Upgrading traditional networks may be expensive, given their growing complexities and rising maintenance costs.

Common Problems
Q:Will SOE include WIFi 7 APs. What is the Roadmap?
A:SOE solution support flexible access no matter it's WiFi 6 or WiFi 7 AP. And the WiFi 7 AP will be released at Q3 2023, it's avaible for SOE solution after WiFi 7 AP be released.
Q:What kind of authentication can be supported by INC later?
A:The Inc-Auth will support basically mainstream authentication methods:Mac, Portal, 802.1X etc. And Ruijie INC-Auth can support user login by SMS/email, Google account. You can directly contact with Teddy Li if need more support.
Q:Do we have NAC solution currently in ruijie? to replace our existing self-developed NAC from former IT team
A:Yes, the terminal access control function already included in INC system, it supports the access control and management such as IoT terminals, printers, surveillance cameras, wireless AP etc.
